PACKING

Parcel Packing: Consolidation, Pre-Packing & Dispatch

Choose the parcel contents and packing method, then follow normal packing or Rehearsal Packing, the paid pre-packing service. Confirm add-ons, cancellation boundaries and the completed parcel’s holding rules.

Key Points

  • Finish QC and product-return decisions before selecting contents or removing packaging.
  • Normal packing and Rehearsal Packing have different payment, change and cancellation boundaries.
  • Rehearsal costs $3 per parcel, requires payment within 48 hours and has its own post-completion holding policy.

Choose Contents and Protection

Contents, Returns and Route Limits

Start with warehouse items whose QC review and return decisions are complete. Match the proposed contents to the route’s accepted item types and size/weight limits. Items from separate purchase orders can be considered for one eligible international parcel.

Record which items must keep their retail boxes or other packaging. This is a specific packing preference, separate from whether the purchases are combined. A consolidation request by itself does not authorize every packaging removal.

Compare Combined and Split Arrangements

Compare the same contents and destination under the available arrangements. A combined parcel may reduce repeated packaging, while separate parcels may be needed for incompatible item attributes or a route limit. The economical choice depends on the actual packed dimensions and route charges.

Do not assume that one larger parcel or several lighter parcels always cost less. Request comparable shipping estimates with the intended protection and packaging retained or removed consistently. A different packing assumption is a different quote.

Split Parcels & Route Limits

Compare the route’s weight, dimension and item restrictions before grouping goods. The platform may divide a large selection into several parcels; its packing article describes commonly splitting parcels above 10 kg. Ask how many parcels will be created and check the quote for each rather than treating that reference as a universal safe limit.

Several parcels can repeat a route’s first-weight charge and require separate packaging or service costs. One large parcel can create volume or oversize charges. Neither approach guarantees the lowest final price or exemption from customs checks.

Packing Instructions & Item Selection

  1. Finalize the contents

Review all purchase records and available QC media. Complete any return decision before selecting the items for international packing.

  2. Identify optional removals

State exactly which shoe boxes, excess packaging or unwanted gifts may be removed. Balance reduced volume against protection and whether you want to retain retail packaging.

  3. Specify protection

Choose the available protection option for the items that need it. A general instruction to pack carefully is less precise than naming the item and the requested service.

  4. Check before payment

Confirm contents, address, route, services and charges before entering the paid packing workflow. A sealed normal parcel cannot simply be reopened to change the order.

Service Types & Charging Stages

Not every option is appropriate for every item. Check the service shown in the current interface and its charge. Rehearsal add-ons are billed with final shipping, while the rehearsal fee has its own payment deadline.

Final Check Before Entering Either Workflow

Confirm the contents, recipient address, route, optional removals, protection and payment stage. Use the normal-packing rules for a normal shipping order and the rehearsal rules for a rehearsal order; their cancellation boundaries are not interchangeable.

Detailed Photography is selected with the product order. Packing add-ons change the parcel arrangement; they do not reopen the earlier inspection-photo service.

Normal Packing

Normal Packing, Sealing & Dispatch

In the normal parcel workflow, an unpaid shipping order can be canceled. After payment and entry into packing, cancellation is not supported; a sealed parcel is not reopened for ordinary changes. These rules differ from the specific disassembly option described for a completed rehearsal parcel.

The packing help gives around one business day for packing after submission and around one business day for dispatch after the parcel fee is paid. These are handling references, not an international delivery promise. Check the actual parcel status and any current peak-period notice.

Rehearsal Packing

Rehearsal Readiness Checklist

  • Finish product-level return decisions and QC review before rehearsal.
  • Choose all add-ons before rehearsal completes; a completed rehearsal locks those choices.
  • Be ready to pay the final freight and submit shipment from the rehearsal list.
  • Track the completed parcel’s own holding deadline. Ordinary inventory’s 90-day free-storage rule does not apply to a completed rehearsal.
  • If contents must go back to inventory, ask about the rehearsal disassembly process and the non-refundable rehearsal fee; do not assume a normal sealed parcel has the same option.

Rehearsal Fee and Cancellation Boundary

The Rehearsal Packing article states $3 per parcel, payable within 48 hours of creating the order. It allows full payment with points or the supported card/balance/points combination. Packaging add-ons are a later shipping charge, separate from this rehearsal fee.

The fee can be refunded if cancellation occurs before the parcel is taken off the shelf. Once it has been taken down and rehearsal work starts, cancellation and refund of that fee are not supported. Check the actual work status before treating an unpaid or newly created order as already refundable.

Packing Add-Ons

Choose available packaging add-ons when creating the rehearsal order. These are billed with the final shipping amount rather than with the rehearsal fee. Once rehearsal is complete, add-ons cannot be added, removed or changed.

Returning the packed contents to inventory requires a disassembly request, and the rehearsal fee is not refunded. This packing reset is separate from asking a seller to accept a product return.

Completed Rehearsal & Shipment

Rehearsal normally takes around 24 hours, or up to 48 hours in peak periods. After completion, use the Rehearsal Packing list to submit shipment and pay the final shipping amount.

A completed rehearsal parcel held for more than three days may incur a $1-per-day storage and handling charge. Packed parcels left for over 90 days are subject to disposal. Use rehearsal when you are ready to move on to shipping.
